About Michael
Michael joined Chambers having completed his pupillage with Mr. Ambrose Ho S.C., Mr. Alan Ng, Ms. Elaine Liu (now Her Honour Judge Liu), and Mr. Randy Shek. Prior to commencing pupillage, Michael served as marshall for the Honourable Madam Justice Toh and the Honourable Mr. Justice Godfrey Lam (now the Honourable Mr. Justice Lam, JA).
Michael obtained his LLB from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with first class honours, placing first in class for Jurisprudence & Ethics. Supported by the HKSES Scholarship, he went on to obtain his LLM from Leiden University, graduating cum laude.
Michael was an avid mooter during his academic studies and has represented his university in over ten international moots. For three consecutive years, he placed amongst the top-three oralists for the Jessup regional rounds, and was part of the 2nd Best Prosecution Team of the ICC moot. He was subsequently the memorial and/or oral rounds judge of several international moots.
Michael is developing a predominantly criminal practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work. He is capable of undertaking work in English and Cantonese and is proficient in Mandarin.
