The Pegasus Chambers “Mentorship Scheme” was initiated to assist newly qualified barristers who wish to specialize in crime. We understand that supporting talented junior members is vital as it allows for the development of strong advocates and ensures the longevity of the bar. The scheme is intended to assist those who join Pegasus Chambers, during their first year of Practice. The period of the mentorship will initially be three months’ and maybe extended by Chambers.
The mentee will be mentored by the other members in Chambers, with over 10 years’ call, who have sufficient experience, knowledge, and connections to pass informal advice, and refer cases to individuals joining the scheme. Mentors who will provide guidance feedback to the mentee, with the aim of developing and improving the practice of the mentee.
The mentorship scheme is intended to support newly qualified barristers who have yet to build up their own contacts. It is therefore unlikely to be extended to persons with previous court or arbitration experience, former solicitors, legal officers, or individuals who have practiced in other jurisdictions.

The scheme is open to anyone who is

All mentees shall be selected having regard to our core values of diversity and equality.
