He was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1985 and is a member of Lincoln’s Inn. His pupillage was completed in London at QEB where he practised criminal law, Prosecuting Briefs from the London Transport Board and defending ‘East End Burglary & Handling cases’ – being fortunate enough to have been briefed through his Pupil Master to conduct a Bail application at the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales known as the ‘Old Bailey’.
In 2013 he was called to the Bar in New Zealand, where he practised in Nelson and Blenheim as a Crown Prosecutor and later as a Senior Defence Lawyer in the New Zealand Public Defence Service in Auckland and Wellington and set up a small criminal practice in Nelson.
He has continued throughout his criminal law career to maintain his practicing certificate in Hong Kong where he presently: Prosecutes for the SAR Department of Justice, Defends both for the SAR Legal Aid Department and privately. He is currently studying part-time for his ‘Master’s Degree in Cybercrime’ at Portsmouth University.
