Ben joined Chambers in 2024 and is developing a mixed civil and criminal practice. Ben is fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua and can undertake written and advocacy work in both English and Chinese.

Ben served his pupillage under Mr. Derek Chan S.C., Mr. Valentine Yim, Mr. Alan Ng, Mr. Eric Leung, and Ms. Elizabeth Herbert. During his pupillage, Ben assisted in handling cases arising from areas of law such as Criminal, Matrimonial, Land, Contract, Trust, Unjust Enrichment, Company, Professional Liability, Arbitration, Personal Injuries, and Chinese Customary Law.

In 2025, Ben was appointed as a Contract Marshal at the Court of First Instance assisting The Hon Madam Justice Queeny Au-Yeung, SBS, and The Hon Madam Justice Winnie Tsui. Ben was also briefly seconded to the Family Court to work under the supervision of Her Honour Judge Elaine Liu, BBS, and Master Mr. Stanley Ho. During Ben’s tenure, he assisted in preparation of judgments on Adverse Possession claims (e.g. [2025] 2 HKLRD 1273), Wardship and Hague Convention Proceedings, Bankruptcy Proceedings, Trust disputes, Interlocutory and Costs applications, etc.

Ben obtained his LLB and PCLL from The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Ben graduated PCLL with a Dean’s Letter of Distinction and was ranked first amongst his cohort for the Civil Litigation Practice Course. Ben further obtained an LLM in Human Rights Law with Merit from University College London.

During his studies, Ben was an avid mooter. Ben also interned, volunteered and served marginalized communities at various NGOs.
